How do they work?

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) uses high frequency (HF) and ultra high frequency (UHF) detection to automatically identify tags attached to an object.

An RFID System consists of a transponder, radio receiver and transmitter. When the RFID reader device is triggered by an electromagnetic pulse, the RFID tag or object transmits data back to the reader.
