West N6500 Temperature Controller

The West N6500 series temperature controllers are a Thermocouple based range of units offered in a standard 1/16DIN construction suitable for implementation into most systems. The controllers easy tune (PID) functionality means for simplified set up and commissioning as well as having a clear and concise 3 digit display with easy to use 3 button operation. Featuring control indicators for on-control, set-up, set point and process alarms, the N6500 series is both reliable and easy to use.

Featuring both PID and on/off control functions, the N6500 range of controllers are capable of managing a wide range of processes that need continuous monitoring. The PID function within the controller offers a continuous control feedback loop to calculate error values between the users’ desired set point and the processes measured variable value. This calculation drives proportional change within the system to make corrections back to the desired set point. PID functionality uses an easy tune feature within the device to automatically calibrate ready for quick and easy implementation. Second to the controllers PID function, a more basic on/off control is available for a simpler implementation of temperature control.

The N6500Z221000 model controller from West Instruments is a two output unit that requires a 110-240 V ac power supply. Output 1 of this controller unit is used to power a solid state relay (SSR) control via DC power with the second output as a relay alarm output, similar to the N6500Z211000 controller.
