RS PRO 1.5 m x 3 mm Diameter 316S31 Stainless Steel Rod
This RS PRO 316 stainless steel rod can provide strong support for your construction projects. The 1.5 metre-long rod is made from austenitic stainless steel that has a significant molybdenum content, so it's highly corrosion-resistant. This alloy's rust-resistant properties make it an especially good choice for the chemical and allied industries, or any application where there's a high risk of pit-type corrosion.
The molybdenum composition also improves the steel's toughness, so this rod has a high tensile strength of 515 MPa. Because it's non-magnetic, austenitic stainless steel is a good choice for sensitive equipment, including marine and photographic apparatus. It's also a food-safe material so you can use it for food and dairy processing.
