80W to 90W DC to DC Adaptor, Vehicle Voltage Converters

Travelling was and will be a big part of our lives. Therefore, you need a reliable charger in your car, ready whenever you required. We are proudly introducing RS PRO ultra-slim and lightweight DC (direct current) Charger, designed for powering in-vehicle equipment. The Car Charger provides an Auxilary 5V supply through the built-in USB port. The Charger operates without interruption for about 30,000 hours, according to MTBF (mean time between failures) calculation. This ultra-compact device is power supply from DC to DC adapters and connects to a vehicle cigarette lighter socket. The Car Charger has 1.2-metre cable output lead with four interchangeable centres positive DC power plugs. There is a built-in power LED indicator along with over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection. This powerful device with USB provides a source of stabilised low voltage and is suitable for running different items of equipment. Engineers have testified our range of Car Chargers as giving comparable quality to that of the leading brands without paying a premium price. Features and Benefits.

  • Frequently asked questions

How does a car charger work?

These small but powerful converters provide a source of stabilised low voltage suitable for running many different items of equipment. Their output is ohmically isolated from the system ground and constant current limited. Continuous operation in current limit is allowed making them suitable for battery charging providing charge time is controlled. Connection to the battery is by a plug with a flying lead, that fits a standard cigar lighter socket, and output is by flying lead terminated in a popular 2.5mm concentric plug (Bare ended for 5V and 9V output units). The converters are dedicated for use with notebook computers that have two-wire input. These converters are current limited above a certain level of demand. The output isolation of the converter from the system ensures that earth currents do not flow.

Why my Car Charger is not working?

If your Fast Charger is not the issue, check to see if the fuse for the car's power outlet has blown. Quite often, that is the case due to the age of the fuse or device plugged in before was faulty or drew too much current.

How long does car battery charger take?

The length of time it takes to charge your car battery is dependent on the size or amp of your battery. The other element is the amp of the car charger you are using. The general rule is the lower the amp charger, the longer it takes and vice versa. The time range between 4 to 24 hours.

My Port Car Charger has an FCC standard. What does it mean?

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) confirms, using a Declaration of Conformity (DoC) from the manufacturer, that the item was tested at an ISO Guide 17025-accredited laboratory. The agency is not running the office in the UK as this is a USA body.
