RS PRO, M20, Plain Stainless Steel Nylon Insert Lock Nut
This lock nut from RS PRO screws onto fastenings next to the bolt in order to keep them firmly locked in place. Its nylon washer increases the bolt's ability to withstand vibrations, so it doesn't come loose even when severely jostled. This helps your machinery stay firm for longer and reduces the time you need to spend retightening.
Having a nylon insert also increases how secure the seal around your bolt is. When the mating bolt screws into the nut, the nylon ring is compressed and gives a watertight fit that keeps liquids from seeping in and damaging your machinery.
For increased durability, the locking nut is made of zinc-plated steel. The zinc coating prevents the nut from rusting, extending its lifespan and that of your machines.
