RS PRO IP40 Key Switch, SPDT, 5 A 2-Way

This key switch from our tried-and-tested RS PRO series is perfect for assuring enhanced security. It uses a physical key for activation to prevent unwarranted access to potentially hazardous systems and machinery.

This is a tough product that's resistant to vandalism. Both the body and button are made from varnished stainless steel for excellent strength and durability. What's more, this material can withstand corrosion for prolonged use in harsh conditions. The switch’s sturdiness is further supported by an IK03 rating for protection against 0.35 J impact, equivalent to a 0.25 kg mass dropped from a height of 140 mm. With a compact 19 mm cut-out design and solder connection, it can be securely installed in most panels.

Safe and dependable, it has been tested for up to 50,000 make-or-break operations at full load. Key switches are widely used in processes like automation control, comms systems and automatic door controls.
