They have simplified set-up and alignment to help decrease installation costs. They also have internal non-resettable overload protection on the safety contact and protected safety contacts. Risk of debris contamination is reduced due to no contact between the sensor and actuator. The FRS 1, 2, 20 and 21 devices are made from moulded ABS with a rectangular housing for flexible mounting options, and are sealed to IP67 (NEMA 6P), which makes them dust-tight and highly suitable for use in wet environments.

The 440N-G02060 Ferrogard FRS 21 magnetic safety switch has 2NC (Normally Closed) safety contacts, 1NO (Normally Open) auxiliary contact, and comes with a 6m cable. It has a switching capacity of 2A max at 250 VAC. The rectangular moulded ABS plastic enclosure is red, which ensures it can be easily seen in an emergency. This unit provides dependable contact-free interlocking for the machine guard.
