RS PRO Background Suppression Photoelectric Sensor, Rectangular Sensor

The Diffuse reflection photelectric sensor from RS PRO includes BGS (background suppression), excellent light reflection measurement sensor using background suppression technology providing stable and reliable sensor detection. The photoelectric sensor has a plastic rectangular / square shape design plus is IP67 rated (waterproof) making the sensor suitable for use in harsh environments. Flexible and easy to operate, infrared light source, LED output indicators, 1 Ms response time, universal housing, distance adjustment, short circuit, overload, reverse, and Zener protection are just a few of the features within the RS PRO Photoelectric sensor.

Diffuse reflection sensors are used for the direct detection of an object when the light sent out from the sensor hits the object and is reflected back to the sensor receiver then the diffuse reflection sensor issues a switching signal. The transmitter and the receiver are combined within the sensor in a singular housing. The transmitter sends out a continuous beam of light which can be red light, infrared or laser light.
