The TEKT5400 series, from Vishay Semiconductor, are silicon NPN phototransistors. They are in side looking, through-hole packages. They have a black plastic package which provides a daylight filter, blocking out ambient visible light. The TEKT5400 phototransistors are Ideal for use as detectors in electronic control and drive circuits.
