The ROHM reference board efficiently converts an input voltage range of 90Vac to 264Vac into a stable 400V output with a maximum output current of 0.6A. It features the a GaN power stage integrating a 650V 70mΩ GaN HEMT, driver, and protection circuit, achieving a peak efficiency of 97.8%. The BCM method PFC controller IC, is utilized to ensure optimal power factor correction for applications requiring PFC. The use of BCM in the PFC stage, along with Zero Current Detection, minimizes switching loss and noise. Additionally, the system maintains a typical total harmonic distortion (THD) of 8.4%.
