Twist Lock Karabiner
From the trusted RS PRO brand this is a lightweight locking carabiner (Karabiner) with a twist-lock or screw lock (screw gate) action excellent for use as part of any fall arrest system. The Carabiner is D shaped with a gate opening of 23 mm and an essential piece of kit to provide additional safety with any fall arrest harness and lanyard. As the carabiner is made of a lightweight steel alloy it has the advantage of adding little weight to your climbing equipment.
A Carabiner should be engraved with the kN (kilonewton) rate which guarantees the carabiner is certified and meets regulation standards of safety for load bearing. Each kN is a force of gravity and not the weight. If the carabiner does not have this engraved into the carabiner it is not safe to use.
Always ensure that the carabiner lock is tested before use and the Screw lock is working.

Applications.
