These AC power switches have been designed to provide an alternative to Optocoupler and Triac circuits. These solid state switches can do this by using optical coupling with dual power SCR outputs. Tightly controlled zero cross circuitry also ensures switching of AC loads without the generation of transients.
Optically coupled input and output circuits provide 3750 Vrms (5000 Vrms for CPC966B) of isolation. This also includes noise immunity between control and load circuits. This makes them ideally suited to applications where electromagnetic interference could disrupt the operation of electromechanical relays. Various blocking voltages and body styles are available.
