Belden Control Area Network (CAN) RS-485 cable
For highly dependable and efficient signalling these CAN cables by Belden are an excellent choice for your network control application.
The 24AWG/0.20 CSA low capacitance computer cables are ideal for RS-485 standard installations and DMX-512. These cables feature Beldens patented Beldfoil® Z-fold shield, with tinned copper braid shielding, providing extra insulation and coverage to give you a high-performance solution. They are non-plenum and use a chrome-coloured outer sheath.
They are used by the CAN based Fieldbus systems, other open Fieldbus systems, PLC and DCS systems.

The 9842NH.00305 2-pair stranded (7x32) cable has a voltage of 300V and a nominal characteristic impedance of 120 Ohm. The maximum recommended current is 2.1Amps per conductor. This cable uses the signature Beldfoil® shield which offers lightweight, flexible, and strong shielding to ensure excellent signal transmission.
This Belden 9842 model also features an outer jacket made of LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen), making it a great option for enclosed or populated areas. The twisted pair construction helps minimise external interference with data transmission, as the conductors carry signals in opposite directions to negate crosstalk.
It has a wide operating temperature range of -45°C to +80°C and is suitable for indoor use.

What is RS-485?

What are the benefits of shielded cabling?
