RS PRO Conductive Carbon, Polypropylene ESD Box, 229 x 126 x 23 mm
This conductive carbon polypropylene ESD box can be used to store electronic components that are prone to damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD). It’s part of our tried-and-tested RS PRO range.
Static can seriously impair the performance of electronic components. ESD occurs when two objects with different electrical charges come into contact, which can happen frequently. As a result, it’s vital to house electronic components in ESD-safe boxes to protect them in storage and in transit.
This case is made from polypropylene – a highly conductive material that provides round-the-clock static shielding. It’s lined with 6 mm of high-density foam in the base for extra protection and is compact enough for transporting parts from EPAs (electrostatic discharge protected areas) to ESD cabinets.
Our ESD box supports ESD S20.20 and EN 61340-5-1 ESD control programme compliance. It’s also RoHS certified, which means it contains only limited amounts of hazardous substances.
