Operating the lock requires a simple 90-degree turn. This reduces the chance of accidentally leaving it unlocked and makes it easy to see whether the lock is closed from afar. It opens with a tri-lock key, which is easy to acquire or replace. The stainless steel material is durable too, so harsh pulls or daily use won't affect the lock's integrity.
The lock carries an IP54 (Ingress Protection) rating, which means it's able to resist prolonged exposure to dust and water. A common use for the product is in the electrical industry, to make lockable junction boxes in public areas or to protect access to a water meter.
