Molex Male Crimp Contact, 20 to 14 AWG - STANDARD .093" Series - 02-09-2103

Make reliable electrical connections with this crimp contact from Molex. It uses a crimp termination to create a join with wires that can range in size from 14 to 20 AWG (American Wire Gauge). The contact is made of brass for durability and plated with tin to ensure higher conductivity and give you a sturdy and reliable connection. The contact is compatible with connections in the Molex Standard .093" and 3191 series.

Features & Benefits

• Maximum contact resistance of 10mΩ (milliohms) for efficient current flow

• Effective for use in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C

• Rated as low Hhalogen for reduced risk of releasing toxic fumes in the event of excessive heat or fire

Applications

• Consumer electronics

• Telecommunications

• Data processing and networking

• Computer systems

Will a crimp termination create a strong join?

Yes. In fact, a crimp connection actually creates a mechanically stronger join that soldered connections can achieve. This is because soldering uses an alloy to create the bond – over time, the alloy will degrade and weaken the connection. A crimp connection, on the other hand, cold-welds the wires together and creates a strong, airtight bond that isn't at risk from moisture or contamination.
