The connector socket includes a silicone cable gasket and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EDPM) rubber pads to guarantee that the socket and the wiring are well insulated and resistant to abrasion. The shell is manufactured from high-quality cold-rolled steel (SPCC) with nickel plating, so you can rest assured it will resist wear and corrosion well. The nine contacts are made from copper alloy with gold plating to ensure they are reliable and also resistant to wear.

This connector is especially suitable for applications where you need protection from water and dust. The unit is rigorously tested against electrostatic discharge (ESD) criteria. It conforms to ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 standards, so you can be sure the risk of ESD is reduced.
