Looking for a compact PLC (programmable logic controller) relay that will save space on your DIN rail? This interface relay module from Phoenix Contact takes up very little room and uses the same electromechanical relay module for switching both AC and DC voltage. It features a basic terminal block with a screw connection, together with a miniature power relay.

The SPDT (single pole, double throw) configuration means you can use it as an on-off switch as well as a way to transfer between two circuits. Its plug-in design lets you make secure connections quickly and simply. The component is fitted with a freewheeling dampening diode to protect the circuit from sudden power outages, while a yellow LED (light-emitting diode) operating voltage display makes it easy to monitor performance. PLC relays such as this are commonly used to control automated processes across industry.
