To enhance the accuracy of the try square's measurements, it's been beam-ground and blade-ground before being lapped. This process removes bumps and imperfections from its surfaces to make it extremely flat and uniform. Tempering and hardening processes bring extra strength and toughness to its steel composition, resulting in a reliable and long-lasting tool.

This engineer's try square conforms to the BS (British Standard) 939 grade B classification for squareness, and also has American GGG-S-656E/29 certification. The tool is often used in workshops and is ideal for inspection and quality control applications in manufacturing and construction environments.
