Category 6 or Cat 6 cable for short is the 6th generation of twisted pair Ethernet cabling that is widely used in both business and home network installations. It is commonly known as network cable, LAN or Ethernet cable. It consists of 4 twisted pairs of sheathed copper wire cable, able to support a high data transfer.

These RS PRO Cat 6 are unshielded foil twisted pairs (F/UTP), networking cables, which mean the copper wires are twisted together and covered with a foil shield which helps to reduce crosstalk, as well as any electromagnetic interference.
