RS PRO Cat6 F/UTP Cable
Category 6 or Cat6 cable for short is the 6th generation of twisted pair Ethernet cabling that is widely used in both business and home network installations. It is commonly known as network cable, LAN, or Ethernet cable. It consists of 4 twisted pairs of sheathed copper wire cables, able to support a high data transfer.
This Cat6 cable reel has foil twisted pairs (F/UTP) networking cables, which means the copper wires are twisted together and covered overall with a foil shield which helps to reduce crosstalk, as well as any electromagnetic interference.
Why would you choose this UTP cable?
Our Cat6 cables are Low Smoke Zero Halogen, commonly termed as LSZH or LSOH cables are used where smoke emission and toxic fumes could cause harm to human health, as well as to essential equipment in the event of a fire. LSZH cables have an outer sheath material that produces lower levels of smoke and toxic fumes, and no acid gases. These are particularly beneficial to personnel exiting safely during a fire, as well as increasing the safety of the firefighting operation.

FAQs
Do I need a screened or unscreened cable?
Screened cables feature an outer cover that has been directly forced above the insulation and are ideal for electrical applications that produce low frequencies. Unscreened cables provide sufficient protection and high performance whilst remaining a cost-effective solution. If you need a cable for high-frequency applications then a screened cable would be more suitable.
What is a multicore industrial cable?
Multicore cable is a type of electrical cable which includes more cores than a standard power or coaxial cable. They can be supplied in various lengths and the number of cores can vary significantly, depending on the type of application required. Commonly used within industrial or entertainment applications, they can keep otherwise messy and disorganised cable connections tidy and are a cost-effective solution.
