Need to monitor the level of liquid in a tank when you don't have access to the inside? This Sensata Cynergy3 float switch can be fitted from the outside of the tank and used to activate a circuit when the liquid reaches a certain level. The normally open/normally-closed (NO/NC) output lets you set up the switch to turn the circuit on or off when it's triggered. The switch is activated when the liquid in the tank rises to a set level or – by turning the body through 180˚ – when the liquid falls below it.

Polyphenylene sulphide switches are suitable for use with most chemicals and oils. They're commonly found in vending machines, commercial dishwashers and evaporator units.

This float switch is suitable for signal switching and use with transistorised input/low-power suppressed-coil miniature relays. It's not suitable for switching inductive or inrush loads such as those found in filament lamps.

Cynergy3 offers wide range of horizontal switches which are WRAS approved and have low-cost compact design. These horizontal float switches consist of a reed switch and a pivoted actuator magnet and can be used for N/O or N/C operation. The switch action can be reversed by mounting the float switch with the float able to move upwards away from the body instead of downwards.

WRAS is the standard against waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must have an appropriate quality and standard.

These Cynergy3 Horizontal Switches are most likely to be used in vending machines, commercial washing machines and evaporator units.
