This Sensata Cynergy3 horizontal float switch is a versatile component for liquid-level regulation in high-alarm operations where overfill shutoffs are to be avoided. Its NO/NC (normally open/normally closed) output allows for flexibility in the layout of your circuitry. You can also reverse the switch action by simply rotating it through 180°. For maximum durability and resistance to corrosion, it's made of a robust polypropylene material. You'll find switches like this commonly used in diesel generators, hydraulic oil and gearbox oil levels.

This unit can be horizontally mounted and is designed to be fitted through the wall of a tank via a 1/2 NPT (national pipe thread) thread. This makes the switch a convenient choice for situations where access to the inside of the tank is impractical.

Cynergy3 offers wide range of horizontal switches which are WRAS approved and have low-cost compact design. These horizontal float switches consist of a reed switch and a pivoted actuator magnet and can be used for N/O or N/C operation. The switch action can be reversed by mounting the float switch with the float able to move upwards away from the body instead of downwards.

WRAS is the standard against waste, misuse, undue consumption or contamination of the water supply and must have an appropriate quality and standard.

These Cynergy3 Horizontal Switches are most likely to be used in vending machines, commercial washing machines and evaporator units.

Suitable for signal switching and for use with transistorised input/low power, suppressed coil miniature relays. Not suited for any inductive or inrush (e.g. filament lamps) loads.
