The Schneider Electric XUSL4E Type 4 Safety Light Curtain is designed for finger detection of operator in the vicinity of hazardous machinery. Its transmitter-receiver system creates 120 light beams with a protected height of 1210mm. Its PFHD reliability data is 2.73 x 10⁻⁸. It has an aluminium case and its integral LEDs offer a local Signalling for clearly display of device's status.

It can be used as standalone sensor (ie without safety control unit) or in association with an appropriate safety control unit Its operating temperature range is -20°C to +55°C and the sensing distance is 0m to 3m or 1m to 6m selectable by wiring
