Honeywell Snap-Action Limit Switch, Roller Plunger, 30V DC - SL1 Series - SL1-AK

Use this Honeywell snap-action switch to detect the presence of objects on the travel path of a machine in a medium-duty environment. It's constructed with a snap-in terminal enclosure to make mounting and wiring easy. A die-cast zinc housing offers enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. As this switch has a compact size of 18 (length) by 59.8 (width) and 44.2mm (depth), it can fit into tight spaces. For extra reliability, the unit has cable gland termination that acts as a seal and protects the electrical components from external damage.

Features & Benefits

• IP67 (ingress protection) rating means this unit is completely dust-tight and highly water-resistant

• NO/NC (normally open/normally closed) configuration for multifunctionality

• Wide operating temperature range of -10°C and +70°C for improved thermal stability

Applications

• Robotics

• Automotive factory floors

• Electronic assembly equipment

What's the difference between a limit switch and a sensor?

A sensor can detect the presence of an object in its travel path but it's only designed to indicate this detection. A limit switch goes further by breaking or completing a circuit when it detects the object. This can cause another device or piece of machinery to start or stop its regular function in response to the object.

SL1 Medium Duty Limit Switches

The SL1 limit switch series from Honeywell is designed for use within a medium duty environment. This range of industrial grade compact limit switches are sealed, sensitive, and have a long life. The compact size makes them suitable for the total miniaturization of machinery or equipment.
