This snap limit switch from the RS PRO range is an electromechanical detection device that's used to count passing objects. With a coil spring actuator, it's simple to operate and has a screw terminal.

Using springs to open and close connections, snap limit switches can rapidly change the direction of power between two devices. Acting like sensing devices, they make or break an electrical connection when they make contact. It’s made from robust zinc alloy and is resistant to electromagnetic disturbances.

EN 50047 and EN 50041 compliant, this device's dimensions are standardised. In addition, the casing is IP66 compliant and the double-insulated plastic casing is built to IP65 standard, so it's resistant to dust and water. These protections make it suitable for use in a wide range of industrial applications. The ability to detect objects also makes it suitable for safety interlocks and control systems for machinery.
