Eaton MCB, 10kA Breaking Capacity, Type-C Tripping - Memshield Series - EMCH363

Don’t get caught out by the shock of an overcurrent – use this MCB from Eaton to keep electrical power systems safe. It’s designed to fit neatly into Eaton's Memshield 3 distribution boards for use with commercial and industrial applications. Type-C tripping characteristics mean it withstands high loads, tripping at inputs between three to five times the rated current of 63A. You can couple the unit with either pin or comb-type busbars as a box clamp barrier ensures they’re inserted correctly. And with three poles, you’ll be able to protect multiple circuits in one go.

Features & Benefits

• Standard DIN rail mounting makes installation a breeze

• Can be locked in the ON or OFF position without affecting the tripping mechanism

• Coloured toggle switches let you check on status at a glance

• Tough thermoplastic housing protects electrical components at temperatures up to +40°C

• IP20 rating indicates it's touch-proof and resistant to objects over 12mm

What are thermal-magnetic trip units?

This MCB features a thermal-magnetic switching mechanism that opens the breaker contacts when a short circuit happens. The magnetic trip unit responds to increases in current, while the thermal switch is sensitive to temperature. The advantage of this design is its quick reaction time.
