The FAZ series of miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) from Eatons xEffect range has a current limiting design providing fast short-circuit interruption that reduces the let-through electrical energy and overload currents that can damage the circuit.

Ideally suited to control circuits and electrical distribution boards the FAZ series of MCBs offer a wide range of diverse protection characteristics, protecting your electrical equipment against overload damage. For additional safety, the MCB breaker cannot be defeated by holding the handle in the ON position, these MCBs are also finger proof and have a trip-free mechanism.

These MCBs have both a thermal and electromagnetic release, with rated currents of 0.16 A up to 63 A and a switching capacity of 15kA or 10kA depending on the device type.

The FAZ series includes miniature circuit breakers, interlocks, busbars and snap-on accessories including auxiliaries and tripping modules.

IEC 60947-2 Relates to Low Voltage Circuit Breakers for use in industrial and similar installations. In the UK these are traditionally known as miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), moulded case circuit breakers
(MCCBs) and also air circuit breakers (ACBs).

This Eaton 2A MCB (miniature circuit breaker) protects your equipment against current overloads of up to 10kA. Its type C tripping characteristic means it trips instantly at five to ten times its rated current, and you can use it with devices where surges are likely to be high, such as in commercial and industrial environments. It's fitted with a thermal release as well as an electromagnetic release, which means it also trips when it becomes too warm. Suitable applications are smaller electric motors and fluorescent lighting.

The MCB snaps onto a DIN rail quickly and easily. Its connectors have screw terminals for secure and efficient wiring.
