RS PRO 6082-T6 Aluminum Round Bar, 15 mm x 1 m


For high-stressed applications, use this aluminium rod from the RS PRO range. The 6082-T6 metal rod is lightweight yet tough enough to bear heavy weights. You will commonly find it in use in the manufacturing and construction industries.

The aluminium rod is well-suited to indoor and outdoor applications as it's corrosion-resistant and can withstand the effects of air, water and heat. With a tensile strength of 295 MPa, it can bear a large amount of stress before it breaks, bends or warps. Made from the medium-strength 6082 aluminium alloy – the strongest of the 6000 alloy series – it's a useful component in cranes and trusses. To mould the round bar to fit your specific needs, the rod can be heat treated.

You'll find this metal rod in use in many transport applications. To gain the RS PRO seal of approval, it's been engineer-tested for durability and consistency.
