The RX231 Group of devices leverages an optimal combination of a 32bit RXv2 CPU core with improved DSP/FPU and low-power consumption technology to realize extreme power efficiency. The RX231 Group implements the industry's top level communication security and encryption functions. It is equipped with as capacitive touch sensor capabilities that combine high sensitivity with a high level of noise tolerance, as well as SD host interface, USB and CAN communication functionality. These products are suitable for applications in industrial, home appliance, healthcare, smart meter, IoT and other fields.

The RX230 Group has more simplified configuration of RX231 by removing SD host interface, USB and CAN, which is optimized for general purpose market equipment requiring 5v power supply support, external bus, or high DSP/EPU operational performance at low power consumption.
