RS PRO 7.5 kW DOL Starter, 230 V AC, 3 Phase, IP65


Used to reduce the current required when starting up induction motors, the 7.5 kW automatic 3-phase starter is a direct-on-line (DOL) motor starter. This type of starter is typically used with induction motors rated below 5 hp.

To prevent short circuits or overheating, it can be helpful to fit motor starters with an overload protection device. This model doesn't include an overload, so you would need to match the full-load current of your motor with one from the RF38 series – for example, stock no. 685-130.

As it's part of the RS PRO range, you can be sure this DOL starter has undergone stringent quality testing. It has a moulded plastic case that provides IP65 ingress protection. The case is an effective shield against dust and high-pressure water jets from any direction. Starters like this are commonly found in motor-driven applications from workshop machinery to fans and water pumps.
