The B&R Industrial Automation GmbH Counter module can be used to determine paths and calculate speeds simultaneously. The Ultrasonic Transducer rods are connected directly to the RS422 interface. Communication with the transducer rod occurs using start/stop signals. With the DPI/IP protocol, it is possible to read operational properties directly from the transducer. During service, when a transducer is being exchanged, the machine can be restarted quickly without additional configuration.
