This CP 343-1 communications processor from Siemens collects physical evidence such as temperature, pressure, and voltage from real-world conditions. It then converts these measurements into digital data for research or fault detection purposes.

This system is designed to connect a SIMATIC S7-300 processor to an industrial Ethernet connection via ISO and TCP/IP (International Organisation for Standardisation and transmission control protocol/internet protocol), a PROFINET IO controller or PROFINET IO device. It collects and writes data and sends and receives with or without an RFC1006.
