Festo Series MS Air Filter, 40μm Filtration Size, 4100L/min Flow Rate - MS6-LF-AGF-E-R-M, Numeric Part Number: 8232880

This Air filter is designed to remove condensate and particulate from compressed Air and inert gases in industrial installations. Intended for vertical mounting with slight tolerance, it combines a centrifugal separator and sintered element to reduce liquid carryover while maintaining high throughput. Materials selected for the body, bowl and Seals suit moderate corrosion environments and compatibility with food-related applications where supplementary information permits.

Features and Benefits:

• 20 bar maximum pressure enables use on high-pressure systems
• 4100 L/min flow capacity supports high-flow compressed Air demands
• Less than 40μm pore size provides fine particulate removal
• Makrolon® bowl with plastic guard offers Visual fluid monitoring
• NBR Seals ensure resilient sealing across temperature range

Applications

• Suitable for machine tool compressed Air supply lines
• Ideal for pneumatic control panels in production cells
• Used with inert gas feeds requiring particulate removal
• Can be used for preprocessing Air before pneumatic actuators
• Suitable for food-sector pneumatic utilities with guidance

What mounting orientation is recommended?

Mount vertically within +/-5° to ensure proper condensate separation and filter function.

How is condensate removed from the unit?

Condensate is evacuated through a manually operated rotating drain at the bowl base.

What materials compose the pressure-bearing parts?

The housing and sub-base are die-cast aluminium with a POM separating plate and a Makrolon® bowl.

What temperature range can the unit withstand?

It is rated for media, ambient and storage temperatures from -10°C to 60°C.
