The STMicroelectronics 3 phase inverter evaluation board is built around the GANSPIN611 half bridge GaN system in package, which integrates a 138 mΩ 650 V e mode GaN HEMT together with the gate driver, LDOs, bootstrap diode, and overcurrent protection. It is paired with the STM32G431RB microcontroller featuring an Arm Cortex® M4 core running at 170 MHz, 128 Kbytes of Flash memory, and a Math Accelerator for Advanced control algorithms. This board supports sensorless field oriented control (FOC), enabling efficient driving of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) and brushless DC (BLDC) motors. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including refrigerator compressors, pumps, fans, and industrial appliances.
