Use this general-purpose metallic tape from 3M for patching, sealing and heat conduction in industrial applications. It's made of aluminium, so has exceptional thermal resistance for high-temperature conduction. This material also has an impressive strength to weight ratio, meaning the tape is durable but won't put a strain on the surface it's holding. It comes in a roll length of 55m, so you'll have plenty on hand for various projects. You'll find tape like this commonly used for heat shielding as well as in light enhancement for photographers.
