The Ixxat CANbridge NT 420 serves as a bridge/gateway between up to four CAN or two CAN FD systems, facilitating seamless connection and enabling controlled message exchange through predefined rules and functions. It also allows for straightforward coupling of CAN FD/CAN networks, conversion between networks with varying bit rates or frame formats (11/29-bit identifiers), and the manipulation, evaluation, filtering, and forwarding of CAN messages. Equipped with a robust microcontroller, it performs tasks such as message filtering, ID translation, and data multiplexing (e.g., necessary for converting CAN FD to CAN messages) while handling bursts of higher data rates without any message loss.

The device can be easily configured through USB using an intuitive Windows tool.
