RS PRO Standard Thermocouple Connector for Use with Type J Thermocouple, 6mm Probe, IEC, RoHS Compliant Standard

This RS PRO Type J thermocouple connector works well in non-corrosive environments. The standard plug and socket set is versatile and compatible with older types of temperature sensors.

It features polarised contacts to help you avoid making connection errors and has a maximum continuous operating temperature of +220°C. Internal wires are protected between plates of thermocouple compatible material with a clamping screw that can accommodate fine wires through to stranded cables. The plug's round pins are iron positive and copper-nickel negative. You'll also find that the sockets are supplied as in-line or panel mounting versions and with rectangular or circular fascias.

Because of the presence of iron, Type J plug and socket thermocouple connectors shouldn't be used in applications where they may come into contact with moisture. They do, however, work well in vacuums and where exposure to oxidation is minimal.
