Weller WE 1010 Soldering Station 85 W, 230 V

Introducing the WE 1010 from Weller, this digitally controlled soldering station uses an LCD display with three push buttons to provide easy temperature control for your soldering application. The WE 1010 station set is supplied with a soldering iron, soldering station, soldering tip and soldering iron rest. The soldering station offers greater flexibility over standard soldering irons as they can be used for a variety of applications.

The power unit features push buttons to precisely control the temperature to suit the application, with an easy to read large LCD screen. The temperature range is from 150°C to 450°C (302°F to 842°F), and with this 70W soldering station being 40% more powerful than existing 50W stations in the same area. This then means the heat up and recovery times are provided quicker, allowing the job to be quicker more efficient. The Weller WE 1 soldering station is ESD protected and offers a temperature accuracy of ±9°C, and temperature stability of ±2°C. A standby mode allows the station to be automatically powered down to a particular temperature when not in use.

Part of this WE 1010 soldering set is the WEP 70 soldering iron, this high performance and ergonomically designed iron is great for accurate soldering. The 70W soldering iron was designed to have a lightweight pencil feel featuring a moulded grip. Easy to change out tips enable to quickly change out a tip if required for different tasks, without any additional tool. Heat resistant silicon cables ensure safety for safe handling with ESD protection.

The Weller PH70 soldering iron rest is an ideal place to keep the soldering iron when not in use, the solder base also has a tray for the solder sponge. The reinforced safety rest incorporates a sponge to keep the tip clean, removing any old solder to keep the tip nice and shiny.

The tip of choice in this set is from the ETA series of soldering tips. The screwdriver tip end measures 1.6 mm by 0.7 mm and is 34.5 mm long. The heat transfer is very effective whilst offering longevity and durability. Easily replaced by simply unscrewing the attached tip, place the replacement tip in and screwing back into place.
