Sensata | Crydom Solid-State Relay, 7A Current Rating, 3.5 to 32V DC Control Voltage Range - DC60 Series - DC60S7-B

This solid-state relay from Sensata | Crydom lets you quickly and safely switch large electrical loads. Thanks to its isolation voltage of 4000Vrms, it can withstand sudden power surges without damage to your circuits. For easy installation, this device is designed for panel mounting. Screw and clamp terminals ensure straightforward, secure connections. This SSR is a reliable choice for I/O subsystems and industrial control equipment.

• Current rating of 7A for use in medium-power applications

• Turn-on time of 0.1ms for rapid switching

• Wide operating temperature range between -30°C and +80°C for use in challenging environments

How does an SSR work?

An SSR works by pairing an LED with a photosensitive transistor across a small, electrically isolated gap between two circuits. When you apply power to the input, the LED lights up and the transistor converts the optical signal to an electrical one. Since this SSR has a normally closed configuration, the electrical signal triggers the output circuit to open. This means you can control a high-power application with a much lower input current.
