Need to bring your system's input voltage down a notch? Put this switching regulator from Traco Power in control. It takes 4.75 to 36V DC inputs and converts them to the stable 3.3V DC output needed by applications such as IoT devices and industrial automation systems. Electrical glitches are no problem, as the device comes with short-circuit protection and automatically reboots after a fault to cut downtime. The regulator operates at 91% efficiency so heat waste is minimised and there's no need to fit a heat sink.

• Ripple voltage of 50mV minimises disruption from electrical noise

• Voltage set accuracy of ±2% ensures a consistent power supply

• Measures just 11.7 (L) x 7.5 (W) x 10.1mm (D), so takes up little enclosure space
