These extended spike test probes from RS PRO allow for precision contact from a safe distance. The long insulated spike reduces the risk of shorting against any other conductors. It also allows users to keep their hands away from high voltages or to reach into confined spaces. This pack contains both black and red probes, allowing connection to both 0 V and a test point.
The probes are rated at 1 kV, making them suitable for most applications. The rear of each probe is a standard 4 mm shrouded banana test socket, allowing them to be used with compatible existing test equipment. The shrouded socket design means you can use them with shrouded or unshrouded plugs or plugs with retractable shrouds. For safety, shrouded plugs are recommended when using these probes at high voltages.
