Eaton MTL Safety Barrier with Digital Input, 2 Channel, 10 mA - Crouse-Hinds Series -MTL7789PLUS

Pass electrical signals to equipment in hazardous areas with this safety barrier from Eaton. It limits transferred energy to levels that can't ignite flammable atmospheres, making it suitable for use in explosive environments. An operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C ensures it's a versatile choice for demanding industrial situations.

The compact unit features a high channel-packing density and can protect up to 40 other modules. Its red LEDs (light-emitting diodes) give a clear indication of a trip condition. As it provides reliable safety, the barrier lets you carry out live maintenance work or calibration without needing extra precautions.

• Removable terminals for easy installation

• Zener barrier to safely divert excess energy into the earth

• Angled wire entry to help with wiring in confined spaces

• Dual channel with two safety fuses, so it's not necessary to replace the entire unit if an overload happens

How do I mount and remove this safety barrier?

This unit clamps directly onto a T-section DIN rail and earths the barrier through the rail. To remove, use the tip of a screwdriver to ease the metal clip at its base outwards until the barrier is free.
