What's the difference between a single-row deep-groove ball bearing and a single-row angular-contact ball bearing?
On its own, a single-row angular-contact ball bearing can't handle axial loads in both directions. A deep-groove ball bearing, on the other hand, has deep raceway grooves in its bearing rings that allow it to support axial loads in both directions.
