If the 24Vdc unit (stock number 405-5111) is used with a battery power source, rather than the recommended D.C. supply as stated in the catalogue then you will need to use the bi-lateral current limiter which is supplied with the unit. If a bi-lateral current limiter is not used in this instance then the unit will cease to function.
