The OSRAM Opto Semiconductors ambient light sensor is a silicon photodiode has spectral sensitivity adapted to human eye sensitivity. It has low temperature coefficient of spectral sensitivity and 1.5 kV ESD according to ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001. It is a DIL plastic package with high packing density. It is used in health monitoring (health rate, blood, oximetry,…), remote control, proximity and ambient light sensing.
