Eaton Contactor Overload Relay – ZB Series Thermal Overload Relays
The Eaton ZB series thermal overload relay with direct contactor mounting offers reliable motor protection and control in the event of a single-phase failure or overload within a multitude of environments. The auxiliary contacts disconnect the contactor and signal the fault when it overloads, meaning a reset can then take place. It works by cutting off the current to the motor when a high current situation occurs. As the relay receives the corresponding signal, it trips.
This Eaton product is predominantly designed for imitating the heating prototypes that are a staple for keeping your motor circuits healthy, which increases the motor lifetime. It provides an affordable and efficient way for you to protect your motors, whilst giving you peace of mind that you have sufficient motor protection and control.

The ZB series overload relays come with a 500 V ac control voltage, a contact voltage rating of up to 1000 V ac, a temperature range of -5 to +55 °C and 2 auxiliary contact points. All Eaton ZB thermal overload relays can also be used for protecting EEx e motors whilst being an effective and sustainable way for you to protect your motors.

When fitting overload relay remote from contactor or using more than one overload relay, use remote mounting base (stock no. 493-0488 - ZB32 only, stock no. 513-0336 - ZB65 only). Note: ZB12 have 5 pins, ZB32 have 4 pins.
