RS PRO Clear Can PCB Coating Components, PCBs, Transformers
RS PRO’s clear insulating varnish provides a robust coating specifically designed for the protection of electronic circuitry. The varnish dries to form a protective barrier against chemicals and dust, as well as extreme temperatures and moisture – all of which can be hazardous to electronic components.
Tough yet flexible, this modified polyurethane conformal coating features high abrasion resistance and excellent mechanical and dielectric properties. The PCB coating can be sprayed, dipped or applied with a brush and is solvent resistant, even when cured at room temperature. The clear amber liquid dries to form a transparent film that has superior adhesion over a wide temperature range of -55°C to +120°C.
By covering and protecting the leads of electronic components, solder joints and exposed traces from corrosion, this air drying insulating varnish extends the working life of printed circuit boards. It can also be used for insulating and protecting transformers and wound components.
