RS PRO Antistatic Heel Grounder

This antistatic heel grounder from RS PRO is designed to be worn in ESD-protected areas to reduce the amount of static electricity (ESD stands for electrostatic discharge).

Static can impair the performance of electronic components. People are one of the biggest generators of static electricity – the simple act of walking can generate several thousand volts. Antistatic heel grounders prevent this static from being discharged into ESD-sensitive devices.

Our heel grounder is comfortable, adjustable and suitable for all flat shoe types. It makes a practical alternative to ESD conforming shoes, which temporary personnel may not always own. To use, simply slip the heel strap over the sole of your shoe and tuck the ribbon into your sock to make contact with the skin.

This heel grounder meets ESD S20.20 and EN 61340-5-1 ESD control standards and is intended for use in combination with ESD flooring, matting and other protective wear.
