3M 5423 700005 Clear Foam Tape, 1.5in x 16.45 m, 12.0 mm Thick

This film tape is a clear adhesive product designed for industrial sealing and protection tasks across electrical, electronics, mechanical and automation environments. It combines a transparent polyethylene backing with a rubber-based adhesive to provide a conformable, protective layer suitable for general-purpose sealing and packing where visibility and surface adhesion are required.

Each roll provides 16.45 m of tape which helps estimate usage rates for routine sealing and packing operations.

The backing is polyethylene and the adhesive is rubber, this combination offers resistance to abrasion and general handling rather than aggressive solvents.

With a tensile strength of 55 lb/in the film resists stretching and tearing when pulled across overlaps or wrapped around harnesses.

The tape conforms to ASTM D-3759 and ASTM D-3330, which cover film backing and peel adhesion test methods respectively.
